Positivity and belief inspire you to work smarter not harder that keep you on your path. Your daily objectives and schedule are derived from your business plan. It’s difficult to find the energy to focus and execute when negativity draws your attention elsewhere. Self-care, mindfulness, and a solid meal all help successful entrepreneurs ward off whack energy. We need you to push through it and smile. Here’s how.

Whack energy is an infectious energy that negatively impacts your day – and your life. It’s curable but it’s also avoidable.

According to vocabulary.com whack energy as an adjective is: 

exhausted or worn out. tired, depleted of strength. or energy  

It’s a result of something lame letting off infectious low quality energy.

History shows the word whack used as early as the 1700’s. 

Initially it was a noun, simply spelled as “wack,” and referred to a crazy or eccentric person. That led to wacko and whacko, and also incorporated the meaning of someone or something that was strange, suspicious, or unnatural. 

Today, it’s still used in that fashion, but is now also a verb indicating something is out of order or not working correctly, a common meaning we know as hitting something such as a ball or wall – or anything. It’s still spelled with an h or no h. It’s also a name for a modern dance style!

Enter in whack energy.

 

Whack energy is a little different. The word is still based upon this history, but we’re talking about it in reference to your personal energy.

What began as a British slang term has become a common adjective for negative energy from feeling exhausted, worn out, or depleted of energy.

Whack energy can lead to a weaken personality where a person lacks a strong self-identity. Someone experiencing difficulty defining their own values, beliefs, and desires may feel empty and confused about their own life’s purpose.

 

Symptoms experienced from absorbing whack energy:

  • over-tired

 

The person suffering may be short-tempered and feeling unexplained despair – but they know it’s not a medically diagnosed case of depression.

How to avoid unhealthy whack energy.

1. Use stress dolls – also knowns as dang-it, dam it, damit, & dammit dolls, scream dolls, destroy dolls, voodoo dolls. 

Stress dolls are big, small, and tiny. The come with descriptions. It could be Barbie with an attitude. 

Look at them. Let them sit and absorb the energy for you. Let them stare down the offender. 

Take direct action. Feel like you are doing something. You’re contributing to a positive society by eliminating it.

2. Wear a repellant sign.      

Repel whack energy with t-shirts and clothing that says just that.

You have spoken without speaking. Your attitude towards whack energy is noted, accepted. and the objective is achieved.

3. More signage.

Stickers are over-achievers too, and can be placed on your water bottle, travel mugs, computers. Your bumper. Stickers are effective wherever the affected person can see them.

4. Sleep

What you don’t know will never hurt you, so the saying goes. 

Sleep monsters also kill other negative energy. 

In this instance that monster under your bed becomes your protector.

5. Avoid people when Mercury is in retrograde.

Just shut yourself in. Tape the doors and windows if you need to.

Accidentally misplace your chargers. “I’m so sorry, my phone died.”

6. Burn scents known to ward off negative energy.

Sage, Lavender, Peppermint. 

Lemon, Sweet orange. 

Eucalyptus, Bergamot.

7. Surround yourself with sage colors.

Paint your house sage green. Wear sage green. Put sage in a locket.

Will it help? I have no actual idea, but it sounds good, and the color itself is associated with calmness.

8. Go somewhere very cold.

It’s said that whack energy cannot survive a North Dakota winter.

You can write. You can eat, drink, work on your marketing plan, or mentor someone. You are the CEO of your time so give your brain a break, recover and hide for a bit – or jump right back in and update your strategy.

9.  Play Whack A Mole.

It’s fun. It gets you onto a boardwalk or somewhere fun. ‘And mentally, it gets you ready. Let negativity consume someone else. Whack energy knows better than to approach you!

10.  Exercise.

Put down the remote. Do not click. Skip watching tv today and make today’s choice to be out with nature or someplace where your mindset turns to physical activity and movement. 

Lift weights. Walk. Run. Hit a ball, and similar to whacking a mole, literally whack the whack energy as you release endorphins. Even if you hate exercise, you gotta love that.

Whack energy is infectious, so take precautions, and do not become a carrier.

If it hits you, just know it’s temporary as long as you take action. During that time, take a break, improve your attitude, give thanks – Do Not Spread it.
